How to study for the Custom Brokers Professional Examination

The amount of material you need to study for the Custom Brokers Professional Exam is vast and can be overwhelming. The key is to break the subject matter down into workable modules.  Each module should mirror each section of the Customs D Memorandum. I.e. Module 1 would cover the topic in D1.

At the end of each module, you should create a small quiz for yourself to test the knowledge you have retained. If there are any documents that you need to practice filling out, this would also be a good time to do so.

I also recommend creating a list of key words or concepts that pertain to Customs terminology.

Some find that enrolling in a Customs course at a college or signing up for a Certified Customs Specialist Course through the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers is extremely helpful before attempting the Custom Brokers Professional Exam.

Ultimately the key is to revise, revise, revise. then take a break and revise again.
